Hi all,
I have a HP Backlit film I need to print on using UV inks but the default one within VPM won't work.

I was wondering if it is possible to import other media profiles into my VPM. I have downloaded various profiles from the HP site but, can't import them into the VPM. I keep getting the message that they are the wrong type of file, the HP profiles are in two file types '.PDW' and 'ICC Profile' (none of which work).

Any help appreciated...

You can import an ICC profile into a printmode, but printmodes need to be created in our software. Importing an ICC profile will change the colour output for (better or worse).
I assume you are using the HP5500, I think our driver is configured for regular inks.
What happens when you try to print now?

I'm using UV pigment inks in the DisignJet & the profiles work fine for most media. However when using the 'Backlit' profile nothing happens... seems like there is a problem only with the Backlit profile. I was hoping that I could download the HP profile for the Backlit media & reinstall it into my VPM.

HP have introduced several new media types for the DesignJet & have all the profiles available to download from their website.
