Unfortunately there is no method for downloading and installing plotter drivers from the web-site to computers that are not on the internet. You will either need to install with the most recent CD for 5.0 or you will need to get an internet connection for that computer.
However in your situation it would be easiest to use the HPGL Standard (Absolute) driver for this particular device. This driver should drive that plotter with no problems. The only difference would be the Machine Limits which you can adjust accordingly. _________________ Hubert Furey

I got the driver from the makes website but where do I install the files too in signlab to get it to recognize the plotter, I did get it to cut using the standard HPGL driver in signlab , question I use to have a New star omega plotter and when I went to cut signlab would tell me exactly how large the area I had to cut on automatically was this just due to the plotter I had or will it do it with any plotter
thanks |

The driver from the maunfacturers web-site is not the driver you want to use if you intend to perform cutting from SignLab's Cut > Plot. This is more or less a Windows based driver and SignLab does not require it. If you wish to install the manufacturers driver you will, unfortunately, need to consult the manufacturers installation instructions.
The driver you want to install is a SignLab specific driver. Available from either the web-site or from the installation CD.
However if you have the machine cutting using the HPGL driver then focus on that.
The feature you are requesting is, I believe, the Get Page Size feature. If the Get Page Size button is not available then you can (in general) install ANY other panther/Vinyl Express driver (such as the Panther 24"). All of these drivers are based on HPGL and any driver should run a standard HPGL device. _________________ Hubert Furey
