Print and Cut Manager, SignLab 7.X
Title
Warning Port Locked. Recommended Procedure for Canceling a Print Job.
Description
Cancel a print job and warning port locked appears.

Solution

The Print Cut Manager automatically locks the port whenever you cancel a job. This is to prevent the next job in the queue from going to the printer before the printer is ready to receive it.

  1. If it's an emergency then pause the printer.
  2. Cancel the job in the Queue. A Port Locked dialog appears.
  3. Reset the printer before continuing. If there is no reset button or procedure then power off/on the printer.
  4. Click OK on the warning dialog.
Printer should be in a ready state to accept new print jobs.
