Hello,

I'm trying to install Filmmaker with an Epson SC-T7200. I can't get any In-Rip separations.
In calibration control In-Rip is on, but I get only the first plane (Cyan). It looks like it's converting the document to grayscale.
What am I doing wrong?
If I RIP the file and look at the RAW-Data I can only see a grayscale, see attachment

If I install an Epson SC-T5200 it works perfect.

By the way, how can I update Filmmaker to the newest version? I can't find any command or so in the program, is the only possible way to look at the FTP-server?

Hi Rene,

What's important to check for in rip seps is how many pages are generated in the View Raw Data. I've installed the T7200, enabled the in rip seps, and I get 4 pages in the View Raw Data.

Sorry, screenshot is in German

The colors displayed are indicative of how many ink channels are ripped, and how many blacks will be used for printing. For you, this mean you have selected the single black option. It will print with only one black cartridge.

It says Gray as a result of the technicality of postscript language. There is no Black only color model in postscript, it is called gray. We have complained about this for years, sorry, it is this way for a silly technical reason.

There should be an Update FilmMaker option in the program folder. Check under Start button > FilmMaker. The latest is 5.23, you can check under Help > About what you are using.

My mistake,

In the Layout Manager was "Process multiple page jobs as an overlay" on, that did some things I didn't expect

And about the greyscale, I suspected something like in apparel, for the Epson SC-F2000, but the colors are pages in Filmmaker....as in your picture!

Thanks, Herzlichen Dank!
