In FilmMaker, there are quite a few options that are not explained in the help file,
e.g., "thin character support" in tools->options
"enhanced image quality" in queue options->printer mode overrides->performance
Is there an online documentation for these options. Will there be an update of the help file?

If not, could you maybe explain what these option do?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards

Enhanced Image quality and Use Interpolation as well as intelligent resolution reduction are never used in halftone mode and only used for sublimation / color printing.
The first two will interpolate the bitmap data when color printing, one is for processing bitmap data and the other is for PDF / PS files and bitmaps embedded in this format.

But due to the Anti Alias effect it creates and the “bad” side effects of this on a halftone it is ignored.

The thin character support is a command passed to the PDF / PostScript interpreter and changes how the interpreter works with fonts that have a very thin / narrow stroke, in particular on lower resolution devices (less than 2400dpi).
It generally recommended to be left on unless you are printing at 2400dpi or above and it deals with rounding errors for very thin strokes or particular font types.
