TOPIC: File Export Issue

File Export Issue 3 years 1 month ago #4954

This issue started when I upgraded to version 9. I'll export the signlab file as an EPS, no problems. Then I make a change to the signlab file, and export it again. When it asks me if I want to replace the original eps file, I say Yes. However, instead of replacing the file, it 'merges' with the file.

Example: I create a new file and make a circle, then export the file as an EPS. Then I delete the circle, create a triangle, and export it again, replacing the original file. When I open the EPS in Photoshop, I see a triangle laying on top of a circle.

I've been getting around this by deleting the original EPS before I export the new file, but it can be annoying. Any help?

I've had the same thing happen with other programs using windows 7. Haven't seen a work around yet, other than deleting the original file and resaving it.

We are aware of a similar issue to this one from early versions of 9.1. It was discovered around build 1 or 2, and was corrected in build 4 and later.

The issue was specifically to do with exporting selected as EPS. If you do not use the Selected option you would not encounter this issue.

Get the latest updates for SignLab and this issue should be resolved.

We updated Signlab and the problem is fixed. Thanks again for your help!
