I set VPM to save the costings as a csv file, mainly to check our estimating software isn't a million miles off what VPM ghinks its using (assuming its accurate)

I think I clicked the 'reset to default' button, and now I get no costings for ink usage in any log files.

Any ideas?

Clicking the Default button will reset any options you have set (including the costing feature) to the default, which is no costing enabled.

You will need to setup your costing details again in order to see any costing.

Also as an FYI, you only will see the .csv files after the file has been printed. If you want to see the costing prior to printing, you can select the option to Rip Only, then when the job status goes to holding, select the job in the queue and click on the Costing icon near the top right.

Thanks. Just spooled a job and same thing is happening it's showing the cost per litre in the costing but zero usage even on a 100% coverage at 1370x1000mm.

The reset button I clicked in error is the one in dot profiles, 'reset print mode to driver defaults'

There's never been any figures entered in the picolitre per pixel fields even when it was working.

Just spoken with Tech Support from the company we bought the RIP & Printer from.

They've updated the device, and all is working now. The pico litre per pixel fields are now populated so I assume more accurate costings.

The dot profiles reset will only affect the information in that dialog, and has no impact on the costing prices.

It sounds like the costing feature was not configured. Glad to hear it is working.
