TOPIC: Priming on Sign Lab and sending to Versa Works

Priming on Sign Lab and sending to Versa Works 2 years 10 months ago #5064

Does anyone know how to do this?

You would think it would be simple?

Make sure you have the Versaworks palette set as the default palette in Signlab. [...] button at left of palette > load > set default. (browse to Signlab X.x> palettes > foils > roland). Once this is done, close and re-open Signlab to load in the new palette.

Below the Shop palette is another palette the "prime palette" if you cannot see it go to View >Palettes > prime palette. You should see a square with a diagonal line across it, double click the square.and then locate the colour RVW-BK10A (this is Rolands White colour). Choose the option for a Solid Colour. Then Click ADD. There should now be a White Square at the bottom.
Select your object and then click on the white Square to apply a White Primer.
Select the objects and send to versaworks. You should see the Special item in versaworks for the white primer.

I have installed the CMYK - RVW-BK10A in Signlab as my primer. Applied it to my graphics and sent it over to Versa Works, did my setup, changed my vinyl to clear, my inks to w>cmykLcLm, set the dry to 15, return to origin, print only. I am still not getting the tear drop of white to show that the primer is on?

My apologies, the RVW-BK01A is the process white colour, you need the colour RDG_White as the primer, then it will work.

Apologies again.
