TOPIC: Contour Cut Bleeds

Contour Cut Bleeds 1 year 3 months ago #5068

I have always had an issue with bleeds on the contour cut.
When creating a bleed on a vector item with a bleed if the image is printed in high quality (or sometimes even low quality) you can see a gap on the print.
When dismantling the object in signlab, rather than just creating an outline and leaving it placed underneath it creates an outline and welds it to a separate original.
At the moment I am contour cutting the item and adding a bleed by making an outline.

Can someone help?

Cheers
Sean

Can you upload a sample file that will reproduce the problem?

When you do notice the problem in the printing, can you go back and verify how it looks in the View Raw Data feature of the VPM? (RIght click a job > Spool Only > Right Click Again when finished > View Raw Data).

Which printer are you using?

Here is a sample of a contour cut with a bleed.

You can physically see the gaps if you zoom in!

I am not using Signlabs RIP as it has some colour issues.
This is mainly appearing when printing high resolution files.
