I have drawn an object in visio 2003 I saved it as a svg. When I try to import it it doesn't appear at all.
I'm at a bit of a loss on how to do this. I need the shape for my cutter to make a sign.

Any ideas ? :-)

SVG files are not supported in Signlab 9. Is there another option you can save as from Visio2003?

Hi Rayw,
Thanks for the reply. The available extension to save are
.vsd
.vss
.vst
.vdx
.vsx
.vtx
.wmf
.bmp
.tiff
.png
.jpg
.gif
.emz
.emf
.dxf
.dwg
.svg
.svgx

The problem is, that this file is to be used with a cutter and they will need to be able to resize them as with clip art. They are doing several signs of several sizes with this object. This is why I tried it as a SVG file

BTW this is version 6.1 not version 9

I have never tried to do this before so I guess I could be going about it in completely the wrong way.

Any ideas will be gratefully received.
I could send you the file if you wish

Thanks

From the list, the only likely candidate is DXF, the others are either Image files or not supported.

Hi Rayw,

Thanks for the info I will give it a shot.
Do you know of any other drawing packages in which I can create clip art files and use them in signlab. Obviously I need to be able to draw them as vectors (I think???)

The reason I used Visio is that it has a really powerful drawing facility albeit with limited tools.

Cheers

Hi Rayw,
Just to let you know that the DXF worked. Typically it was one of the last ones for me to try :-)
So, thank you for you help.
