Signlab won't let me edit text compression. My text is to long to fit where I want it, I need to reduce my text character spacing.

Hi Brad, we need a bit more info here, what version/build of Signlab and what are you trying to change? A screen shot of what you get might help too.

You can reduce the character spacing by reducing the Kerning value for the text below 100%, simply highlight the text then reduce the value for kerning. Depending on how you have it setup you should see one of the two options below.

The alternative is to create a frame the maximum size you can use (Frame text compose will "Fit" to the blank size), then set the compression required in the frame properties. Again depending on how you have it setup you should see one of the two options below.

From what you have said you probably need to choose the kerning compression.

Thanks I usually do this stuff in Corel. Signlab has been out of wack since we updated the computer. Wont let you even have more than one file open at once anymore.
