TOPIC: Getting doubles when importing PDF's

Hey Everyone,

I'm running SignLab 9.11. Why am I getting doubles when importing PDF files? And how do I prevent it? It doesn't matter where they come from. I always get doubles.

I cannot think of any control you might have checked that would make this happen. Is it a new occurrence on an old install or is it a new install?

Check the build you have (Help > About Signlab > type R) The latest available is build 8. If you do not have that then update using the option from Start > programs.

I have Version 9.1 Build 2. It's not a new occurrence. It always did that. I have re-installed and updated but it still does it. I've been working with Sign Lab for 13 years so It's not that I don't know how to use the software either. This one really has me stumped.

Have you updated to build 8? might be worth a try although I do not recall this being an issue in any version.

Ok, I just updated to Build 8 this afternoon. It is still doing it. I just found out why I'm getting doubles. Everything that has thickened lines on import gives me doubles. I tried opening them in Illustrator removing thick lines, saving them. Then importing them but, I still get, you guessed it, doubles. Like I said...stumped. So, is that normal?

Can you send me a pdf and a CDL file with that file imported, so I can see what you get.
