Hi Guys new to the forum and in need of some help.

I am presently running signlab 8 on Windows XP and I have purchased a new PC With windows 7 and re-installing signlab will not be a problem.

My question is, how can I copy over all of my settings, saved profiles and designs over to my new install on my new PC.

Hope someone can help and thank you in advance

There is no easy solution for duplicating settings, having the two systems side by side and comparing settings is the only way.

Any designs you have created will have a file extension of .CDL, so you can search for those and copy all to the new PC.

Windows fonts are another likely issue, copy all fonts from the old PC (Windows\Fonts folder) to a flash drive and then install all on the new PC (select all then right click and install), any that are already present can then be ignored. Make sure you install them in Signlab after you have copied all across.(See Support & training > support videos from this site for further guidance if necessary).

If you have created printmodes in VPM you will need to export them as PMZ files and then import into VPM on the new PC.
