I've had this discussion with my computer guy and he suggest to help signlab run faster and smoother to transfer the file to the C: drive and work with the file then save and when done move back to my other drive. So my question is does it matter where the file is, save and retrieved from or for bigger files would that idea work the best? Just wondering on this I have signlab 10 on windows 10 with intel xeon E5-1630 v3 with a AMD firepro W7100 8gb video card and I still get it choppy when zooming in and out and locking up on a simple outline sometimes. Looking for any ideas or suggestion. Thanks

Where you save and retrieve the file from should not make a difference except maybe when opening or saving the file.

Try switching off the Enhanced View under options and see if things run better without that. Things will look a little less smooth, but otherwise it is the same.
I am interested to know if it improves things so please post back.

OK in a couple files I have I turned off the Enhanced View and it didn't make much of a difference other than when zooming around the work space more complex logos would disappear for a second and it would like refresh the view on the screen and I would say slowed down the zooming time, and with it on all logos would stay as they look just the bar on the bottom would scroll across to 100% a couple times and then it would zoom into where you wanted quicker and smoother than with it off.
