TOPIC: Perforated cut signlab 9.1 for versaworks

Perforated cut signlab 9.1 for versaworks 8 months 12 hours ago #5979

Hi everyone, and thank you for allowing me to be a part of the community!
ok my question, is there a way to set a job up for perf cut? its a pain to send job to illustrator to add the perf cut line so im wondering if there is a way to do it right in signlab? i use signlab 9.1 print & cut, and signlab for versaworks, and i only use versaworks as my rip, not signlabs rip. thanks in advance.

If you have the Print To Versaworks as an option in your file menu, then you can use the Cut > HalfCut to make a PerfCut line for Versaworks.

If you do not have the The Print to Versaworks option, you need to create a Spot Colour in the Signlab Palette named "PerfCutContour" then create your contour shape with a process white or Clear fill and assign a hairline with PerfCutContour colour to the graphic, If you then export from Signlab as a level3 EPS file the PerfCut will also be transferred to Versaworks.
