TOPIC: Changing a color in a JPEG

Changing a color in a JPEG 4 months 4 weeks ago #6606

I opened a JPEG in Sign Lab and need to change the color of a textured roof. What is the best way to do this in Sign Lab without losing the texture? I looked around in Gimp and tried messing around with Fluid Mask but I'm having trouble figuring this out. I don't remember seeing this in a tutorial. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Import the image and create a vector shape that covers the roof that you need to colour. View the shape with the Fill off. select the image and choose edit > edit object.
Pick up the magic wand tool and click on the shape you created, it should highlight in yellow. Then go to Image > Colour adjustments > Hue/ Saturation.

By changing the Hue, saturation and lightness you should be able to recolour just the selected part of the image.
