Using your Direct to Garment printer for Direct to Film production

Direct To Garment Direct To Film PrintingIs your shop currently set up for Direct to Garment (DTG) printing but you’d like to extend production to Direct to Film (DTF) printing without investing in additional printers? Yes, it is possible!

Many existing garment decorating shops are looking to add Direct to Film technology so that they can increase their product offering to fabrics that are currently unsupported by DTG production. Both applications are a perfect complement to one another in order to achieve this and will enable you to widen the scope of garments you offer customers.

If you are unsure about making the leap to DTF printing by purchasing a dedicated printer for it, CADlink’s Digital Factory Apparel Edition can provide you with the solution you are looking for. If you are already using this direct to garment RIP software (or are thinking about purchasing it), you are now able to add specialized DTF printer packages to the software that include customized drivers and color profiles for your existing DTG printer.

Currently all Brother®* and Epson® DTG printers are supported and the good news is that you can use your existing DTG inks. All you need to do is find a good transfer media and adhesive powder to complete the process. You can now streamline your workflow and ensure consistent, professional quality production across both applications by using the exact same software package for both DTG as well as DTF printing.
